Life on the island
Thulusdhoo offers an extraordinary range of natural and cultural experiences — from world-class surf and legendary reef dives to local excursions that reveal the real character of this remarkable atoll.

Thingiri Snorkelling Point is the standout experience for guests arriving on Thulusdhoo's reef. Shallow enough for snorkellers, spectacular enough for divers — sharks, manta rays, sea turtles, and vibrant tropical fish are a near-daily sight. The coral is healthy, the visibility excellent, and the whole experience is accessible directly from the island.
For those wanting more, dedicated coral gardens and shark points a short boat ride away offer deeper reef systems where grey reef sharks, eagle rays, and schooling fish gather in abundance. Our PADI-certified dive guides lead excursions for all levels. Equipment rental and PADI certification courses available.

Thulusdhoo is synonymous with Cokes — a powerful, hollow right-hand reef break and one of the world's truly great waves. Fast, barrelling, and consistent during the south-west swell season (May–October), it draws dedicated surfers from every corner of the globe. The break is a short walk from RAYS, no boat required.
But the surf around Kaafu Atoll doesn't stop at Cokes. A short boat ride puts you within reach of three more legendary breaks:
Ninjas
A fast, punchy left-hander that rewards surfers who can read a quick, hollow wave. Excellent in mid-range swell.
Chickens
A long, forgiving right that's well suited to intermediate surfers. Consistent and often uncrowded — a reliable option throughout the season.
Sultans
Perhaps the most famous right in the Maldives outside Cokes — a long, powerful wall that handles significant swell and produces some of the longest rides in the atoll.
Board rental and surf guidance available. Best season: May–October. Boat transfers to outer breaks arranged on request.

Start your morning the right way — with a guided yoga session by the ocean. RAYS can arrange private or small-group yoga classes for guests of all levels, from complete beginners to regular practitioners. Sessions are typically held at sunrise on the beach or rooftop, where the stillness of the early Maldivian morning makes for an exceptionally grounding practice.
Whether you want a gentle stretch to loosen up after a day in the water, a focused flow session, or a full week of morning practice built into your stay, our team will connect you with a qualified instructor. Private sessions can be arranged at a time and location that suits you.
